Hey all, obvious spoilers ahead so if you read further just know I am laying literally everything out here for those who may want or need a quick use guide to getting their planets complete. For the sake of preserving such information and allowing more people to find it, you may repost it along with a link to the original (this is only the very first submission, never link another repost).Īnything showing or talking about story elements must be marked as spoiler. Exceptions are still relevant and helpful content that has not been posted for at least 30 days. This rule complements rule 3.Ĭontent that has been previously posted on this subreddit should not be reposted. Flairs are to be used to categorize your submission, titles are to describe what it's about. Submissions with titles such as "bug", "Astroneer" or "I need help" will be removed and you will be asked to re-create them with a proper title. This rule complements rule 1.Ībsolutely use titles that roughly describe what your submission is about. The situation will always be considered, as such reporting a bug that you do not understand, leaving you unable to elaborate, will not be considered low-effort by default. Submissions that are not directly related and relevant to ASTRONEER will be removed. This also means digging to the core will take less time. All submissions must be ASTRONEER related. Due to Desolo being a moon, it is much smaller than other planets. It was added during the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. The Apollo Lunar Lander spawns on the surface of Desolo, and has a camera that the player can use to take a photograph of themself with the lander.Placing the Geometric Triptych in the slot on the opposite side (above you) will activate the engine, revealing the Odd Stone and allowing teleportation to the core as well as revealing the inactive node for the Gateway Portal if it has not yet been discovered. Placing a single Zinc in one of the slots reveals the Geometric Triptych. Once a Gateway Chamber has been activated, the Gateway Engine opens in the core. At least one must be activated before the player can access the Gateway Engine in the core of the planet. 4 Small Generators or a Medium Generator on a Medium Platform A will do the job. Many steam geysers and Daggeroots can be found on the surface, as well as some Popcoral.ĭesolo has two Gateway Chambers, each requiring 8U/s of power for 30 seconds to be activated. Players will also find many Research Items and Debris scattered along the surface that can have valuable materials.ĭesolo has an extraordinarily short day/night cycle, with each cycle lasting about 1 minute and 55 seconds. The latter allows for production of basic composite materials, which are essential ingredients for more sophisticated crafting recipes. The former makes the player's power management less dependent on winds and the day/night cycle. The Tungsten derived from the available Wolframite allows players to craft Medium Generators and the Chemistry Lab. With its primary resource being Wolframite and due to its proximity to Sylva, Desolo is often the second stop on the player's adventure. Several of the craters are filled with grassy plants, which offer a good source of Organic. It has an extremely thin atmosphere, and is pockmarked with craters and bare rocks scattered around the surface. For the original planet, see Barren (Old).ĭesolo is a Terran Moon Planet in Astroneer and is the moon of Sylva.
